Wow...just wow. You are so talented! I wish I could afford to buy art! someday maybe I will be able to. I hope by then I'll still be able to afford yours(...stay away from the art promoters.......J/K.)
I did some drawing and painting when in school, but now I'm more pulled to the hands on stuff, I would love to learn to throw pottery on a wheel and how to fire and glaze it. I keep watching for a class to come along in my area that is affordable and that I can get to.
"Art may be as simple as scribbling on a picket fence with a blueberry"
My partner and I live atop a hill in the Back Mountains of Pennsylvania with 3 dogs and 5 cats.
I've always doodled, but didn't do any serious painting or drawing until highschool.
Originally, I worked in oils or acrylics. About 6 years ago, I found my work becoming a "recipe" and very "tight" and I developed a tendency to overwork a piece - not the direction I wanted.
I wanted something more free flowing and loose. I decided to switch to watercolors, which by it's nature is less forgiving and would stop me from overworking.
With a new medium, the 'recipe' method disappeared, and I am slowly relaxing my technique.
I've recently moved towards using watercolor pencil for smaller pieces and graphic illustrations for various websites.
I work as a graphic designer and cad drafter.
Feel free to contact me at dhippauf@frontiernet.net
Unless otherwise stated, artwork is NOT matted or Framed. Some pieces are shown here as having a mat for blog display only. Size listing is approximate.
